Hungar Games

In English we are reading the popular book the " Hungar Games " By Susan Collins. I have already read the book and i personally loved it and i am so excited that we are getting to look at in English as part of our course. We are looking at how the author keeps us interested and how she came up with the names. we discussed how the names we knpw now have changed over time like Peter canged over time to Peata and how Katherin  turned into Katniss. We are not far in thre book but i thought it is a very popular so it deserved its own post. I am looking foward to reading the book again and seeing the movie and comparing it to the book and it will be a first for me as it will be the first time i will have read a book before i have read the movie. i recommed everybody reads it it is really really good.

Seachtain na gaeilge

Dia Duit. This week it is seachtian na gaeilge and on Saturday it is La le Pàdraig ( St. PAtricks day in Irish ) I am trying to incorporate as much Irish as i can into this blog post as this week is a celebration of our native language that did dye out when the brits came over but is still alive. It is not spoken allot in Ireland anymore accept in certain areas in Ireland that are called gaeltacht areas were they speak Irish all the time and in some they have colosta which are like summer camps but you can only speak Irish in them and no other language is to be spoken in them. I have been to tone and i really liked it and i found it a big help when it came to my exams because Irish is an exam subject in Ireland even though it isn't spoken it is examened. In our school for seachtain na gaeilge we have alot going on we all come in to school in Irish theamed costumes and at luchtime in our courtyard we have a competion for best costume and in different catigories like funniest most creative stuff like that and after all the cmpetition is done with we have a big Ceile were we do some  Irish dancing and just have a bit of fun. Saln leat agus graibh maith agut

My first day of work experience from hell

ok were do i begin with my first day of work experience. i went to lenstier animal rescue i got there at nine oclock the time i was told to be there and the boss didn't show up till half nine and we were told we would be fundraising in different parts of Dublin we were all drooped off at different locations the two other girls were droped in tallagh to fundraise and they were not told where they were what time we were being collected at and i was droped by  myself with no supervision  in rathfarnm were i had never been before and i was not told were i was and i was rushed out of the car and forgot my lunch and tablets i need to take and there was nowhere for me to go to the bathroom and nowhere for me to sit, i was left in a strange place with a bucket of money and no decent facilities for me for 6 and a half hours. to make things worse i got a phone call from one of the other girls who had rang the number we got if we had any questions and we were expected to make our own way back the other girls had money so one of there parents and luckily i had money in my pocket i ahd no idea were to get the bus from or what bus to get so i had to ring my mam and friend to figure it out and  when i finally made it back i drooped the money up to the office an was told i was doing that again in a new part of Dublin and they would try and get somebody to pick us up.My parents didn't want me to go back cause they didn't think it was safe for me. one of the other girls mothers then offered all three of us a placement in a nursing home which i am so thankful for. i am just going to put all this down to experience and now never to go there again
