Seachtain na gaeilge

Dia Duit. This week it is seachtian na gaeilge and on Saturday it is La le Pàdraig ( St. PAtricks day in Irish ) I am trying to incorporate as much Irish as i can into this blog post as this week is a celebration of our native language that did dye out when the brits came over but is still alive. It is not spoken allot in Ireland anymore accept in certain areas in Ireland that are called gaeltacht areas were they speak Irish all the time and in some they have colosta which are like summer camps but you can only speak Irish in them and no other language is to be spoken in them. I have been to tone and i really liked it and i found it a big help when it came to my exams because Irish is an exam subject in Ireland even though it isn't spoken it is examened. In our school for seachtain na gaeilge we have alot going on we all come in to school in Irish theamed costumes and at luchtime in our courtyard we have a competion for best costume and in different catigories like funniest most creative stuff like that and after all the cmpetition is done with we have a big Ceile were we do some  Irish dancing and just have a bit of fun. Saln leat agus graibh maith agut
